5 Ways to Empower Teens at the Live Your Passion Rally

Sep 12, 2017

The next Live Your Passion Rally is about a month away and it is the perfect opportunity to empower teens with Young Living!

I'm so excited to hear what you're offering for teens at your local rally and I've created a book giveaway on Facebook and Instagram to create more excitement and to share some extra teen resources.

If you haven't yet thought about getting teens to the rally and figured out what to do with them once they are there, here are five of my favorite ideas:

1. Leverage their strengths. Find out what they are good at and get them involved with helping.  Each rally needs people who are strong with technology, speaking, organization, and so much more depending on your venue and the size of your rally.  Connecting with the community by showcasing strengths will help them to be authentic while experiencing the encouraging, accepting, and supportive qualities of our Young Living family.

2. Allow them to experience products firsthand.  This one might seem like a no-brainer, but many teens are intrigued yet skeptical (just like many adults).  The Live Your Passion Rally is the perfect time for them to explore and experience the products because we all know that talking about oils and toxin-free living isn't the same as actually feeling the benefits firsthand.  This is a great time for teen girls to get their hands on the new Savvy Minerals make up and for teen athletes to taste all of the great shakes and supplements like Aminowise.  The possibilities are as limitless as our products!

3. Ask them what they think.  I know I am guilty of getting excited about oils and my enthusiasm can get to be a little much - especially when I don't slow down or ask for other thoughts.  The teens I've been blessed to work with have the best thoughts, questions, and ideas about every aspect of Young Living from the products to the business and those thoughts need to be heard.  I'm fully convinced that this next generation has the ability to solve so many of the challenges we face and the rally always highlights so many important ideas that they can use.  Google Forms or written surveys are a great way to collect as many thoughts and ideas as possible at your rally!

4. Encourage them to share.  Not all young people are eager to share (especially in large crowds of people who are clearly in love with a particular lifestyle), but there are some that love to share!  I'm in awe of the amazing leaders who share their ideas and experiences in the Teen Oiler Facebook group and I would love to have each and every one of them share at my rally!  Not only do they bring fresh and exciting ideas to the table, the remind all of us what is possibly and why we fell in love with Young Living in the first place.

5. Showcase the Young Living Foundation.  I always include something about the Young Living Foundation when I'm talking about empowering teens with Young Living because so many of them have servant hearts.  The majority of teens that I work with and interact with LOVE the idea of giving back and helping others and there is no better model for that than the Young Living Foundation.  This one is also very easy to do because each rally has content specifically devoted to the foundation so it would just be a matter of encouraging teens to share that portion or even just reflect on their thoughts and feelings after someone else shares it.

There are so many other ways you can get teens involved in your local rally and I'd love to hear what YOU are doing so be sure to leave a comment on Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win FREE books for your event!

As always, you can order copies of A Teen's Guide to Wellness, Purpose, and Abundance at bulk rates (up to 45% off retail) to have on hand at your event as well.
